"
I have just learned from Clairette of the date of the Memorial Service for your mother and I was so sorry to see that it fell within the period when I will be travelling in Alberta and British Columbia.
I wanted, therefore, to pay my respects personally through this note, and to let you know that I was thinking of you both and indeed all members of your family.
Your Mom was clearly a special lady, and I know she was very important to everyone. I could tell by the ‘affection’ and ‘respect’ in Clairette’s voice when she spoke of her over the years.
It is always a sad loss when we lose a parent – especially one for whom we cared deeply. They nutured us, guided us, loved us, and always ‘had our backs’. You will miss her in your lives dearly.
I am especially sorry to miss the service because I would have learned even more about her and her brothers and sisters. What a wonderful heritage your family has – and the ‘story’ continues.
My deepest sympathies to you both.
Please be well and, Chantal, would you kindly pass on my regards to Pierre with respect to the loss of a mother-in-law.
I will learn of the service from Clairette when I return from out West. I know it will be a lovely and fitting tribute to Madame Bourque.
Sincerely,
Suzanne K."

"A Mother's love is one like no other
Even though you Mother has traveled her final journey
She will always be at your side
As you make your way on your beautiful journey called Life
May her love and memories comfort you today and always
My deepest condolences to you and your family
Suzie
